A new approach for primary care

Several GPs with the CCG across the system came together this week to discuss what a new primary care strategy. The pen hasn’t hit the paper yet and the discussion was simply gaining ideas and starting the conversation. If you’d like to get involved or give your views over let me know and I’ll connect you in.

Community Services transformation up and running

Working with Notts healthcare and the CCG, James Mills and Leanne Monger are heading up some 100 day trials to work across our PCNs in testing new ways for community teams and general practice staff to work together. A weekend multi-disciplinary team is one of those ideas where people can come into a thriving hub and see not only a nurse for a wound dressing but also a link worker for help filling out claim forms and signposting to well-being services. Newark will be testing home care integration and Ashfield will be testing new ways to integrate social care and health staff. Watch this space for more details to follow!

Winter Access Fund enabled a further 14,000 appointments in February

We forecast 16,000 more in March with massive thanks to the people who have gone out their way to make this happen – you know who you are!
