The impact that being physically active can have on your physical and mental health is incredible and I could wow you with on e statistic after another. But knowing these somewhat impersonal facts and being ready to make significant lifestyle changes are two very different things. Actually taking the steps in the right direction can be hard to do when you don’t know where or how to start and you struggle to motivate yourself in the first place. All the data in the world won’t help you to get out of bed earlier in the morning to go for that walk if it doesn’t feel important and personal enough to you.
Self-care is a term that is used a lot at the moment and is so important in these difficult times, but what if you don’t even know what self-care looks like for you and even if you did you haven’t got time to look after yourself because you’re so busy looking after everyone else?
The Health and Wellbeing Coaches are here to listen to you and your lifestyle concerns and how they may be impacting your health. We can help you to decide what is important for you and assist you to create personal short-term lifestyle goals and support you to implement them, which could lead to long-term lifestyle changes and health benefits as a result.
It could be as simple as drinking more water, eating fewer sugary snacks, going for a daily walk, but the important thing is that it works for you. We are here to guide you, and sometimes educate you about the impact of your lifestyle choices, but ultimately, you are in the driving seat of your own life and you will take the lead on what choices and changes you are ready to implement.
