Electronic Prescription Service
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service which allows us to send your prescriptions electronically to a pharmacy of your choice (near to where you live, work or shop). This allows you to collect your repeat prescription direct from your regular collection point without returning each time to your GP surgery to pick up your paper prescription. If you wish to nominate a place for us to electronically send your prescription please speak to any pharmacy or dispensing appliance contractor that offers EPS. You do not need a computer to use this service. Please remember to let us know of any changes.
Requests for repeat prescriptions will be dealt with speedily and will be ready for collection within 48 hours. Repeat prescriptions are available to patients on long-term medication. Please order repeat prescriptions in plenty of time, by ticking the items you require. Failure to tick the items will result in your request not being processed. Do not wait until you have run out! Please inform us of any changes the hospital makes in your medication. We do not accept telephone requests. You can order your prescription by post, fax, in person (we can return your prescription to you if you supply a stamped, self- addressed envelope) or online (you will need to register with the practice for this.)
Fax number: 01623 424898
If you have repeat prescriptions, your medication will be reviewed regularly by one of our Doctors. Please note information may be printed on your repeat prescription requesting that you either call the Surgery or make an appointment to see a Doctor regarding your medication. If you have not contacted the Surgery, you may only be given 1 month’s supply of medication and you will be reminded to discuss your medication with your Doctor. You will also be invited to the Surgery for an annual check either at one of our long-term condition review clinics or with your Doctor during general surgery.
Please contact the Dispensary or your local Pharmacist if you ever have any queries regarding your medication.
